Summary: "moleskin grows up...."

i have always had a great love for writing in a moleskin and now it physically grows up. i can now use them for my art journal. nice weight to the paper and feel

Summary: "Great despite thinner paper"

The paper in this "sketchbook" Moleskine is a little thinner than the smaller, iconic counterpart. But it has to be at this size. Luckily the texture is super smooth and holds ink beautifully. I use it with small micron pens and the ink sits wonderfully on the paper just like the smaller version. The paper bleeds through on thicker markers like sharpies and prismacolors, but for light ink work and pencil it's fantastic. The size is a little hard to deal with, but if you draw the same as you would in your traditional Moleskine, the giant page size gives everything a really magical feeling. I love this book.

Summary: "Great!...but...."

Am a user of Moleskines for many years now and was rather excited with the release of these larger formatted ones...one does feel like Alice down the rabbit hole after taking the "small" potion...

Now the "but".....it seems if one erases even with moderate pressure you remove the cream colour of the page revealing the "white" of the paper...this was never the case with the regular moleskines...Have tried light pressure and repeated erasing does the same...

Summary: "It's Huge!!"

Like a scene out of "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" or "The Incredible Shrinking Man", you will feel slightly small handling this over-sized rendition of the standard "large" Moleskine sketchbook.

Everything is basically the same as the standard size book--same coloring, paper thickness, and surface texture--but with a lot more surface area. If you're someone that is a bit obsessive about detailed drawings and sketches, then prepare to spend some time with this! :)
